weekend is over....

Isn´t it bizarr, unfair and all wrong that the week is 7 days long and five of these days are spent working? why is the weekend only two days long - as soon as you start to relax it´s sunday evening and nothing is worse then sunday evening since the thought of monday morning constantly crosses your mind...

well all I´m trying to say is: CAN SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ME A FEW MORE DAYS OFF? not that I need to relaxe that much but I really want to continue watching West Wings season 4 episodes and I usually have next to no time to do this during the week.

I loved the first 6 eps of season 4...and I want to watch all of the remaining seasons soon. I saw the trailer for west wings finale episodes....and wow.....the kiss? is it really what it looks like?
*excited*

a long long time ago....

I know!

having a lifejournal is an amazing thing, being able to check what´s going on with all my friends via internet is even better. a few people told me that this livejournal thing only works, if I actually
update my lifejournal from time to time...

so YES i got the hint ( or the lifejournal nudges certain people send my on a daily basis ;-) and here I am talking about my life...

well what happened during the last 15 weeks?

- I survived the chicken pox
- I missed SG-10
- I passed all my undergraduate exam
- I passed all my exams in december
- I went back to work (for another 3 months)
- I started dating my co-worker
- I had a lovely christmas with my family
- I spent way to much time doing things for the german Battlestar Atlantia convention but enjoyed almost every minute of it
- I had a funny start into the new year
- I spent even more time doing stuff for the convention
- I managed to have a relationship that went all wrong within the first weeks of the year
- had to face the moment I kept putting off for over a year: a dentist appointment - ouch!!!
- managed to make my computer crash the evening before I had to leave for the convention
- finally the time had come: Battlestar Atlantia - Germany Bad Salzdetfurth (27-29 january 2006)

there is so much to say about this event....I could probably talk for hours. but NO...I´ll not do that here and now. most of you were there. the best moments of that weekend? I honestly don´t know...we certainly had a lot of fun!
the things I remember:
>>delayed flights, pizza, thursday evening!!!, toilet paper, quiz, convention dance, boxer shorts, never ending autograph sessions with RSF, pool party...and a few more things I probably shouldn´t mention here....:-)

- came home from BA, unpacked, washed and packed my suitcase again
- went to Pegasus One in London with my friend Andrea

again so many things happened I have no idea where to start. I had a fantastic weekend because two people were constantly there for me: big HUGS to the amazing, beautiful, funny, lovely Emily - I would not know what to do without you honey! thanks so much for always being there for me!!!! and huggles to Andrea who decided to come along for Pegasus One thursday morning before the convention - you are the best, late night parties, sunday evenings, frozen planes, delayed flights and chocolate cake are so much more funny with you there to share it!
and I should thank Mr Aaron Douglas for being the perfect guest, making my job so easy and for a lot of other things!!!

- my normal life got me back
- went to visit my best friend who had been in hospital for two weeks and had a relaxing, funny and just lovely weekend with her and her family (HUGS to you Rike, you will always be my number one - love ya!)
- I had a few nights out meeting with friends from university and school
- met Jan (co-worker from the real estate agency I worked for a year ago) for a coffee and to catch up on a whole year we hadn´t seen each other
- watched BSG on german TV

well BSG was on tonight so I guess I´m done with talking about the past three months:-)

what I really want to say is THANK YOU to all of you for being there, supporting me, making me laugh, making my cry, for giving me help and hope, for cheering my up and for being my friends!!!
I couldn´t have done the last few months without you!

now enough....after so many weeks being stuck on the final episodes of West Wings season 3 I finally managed to get season 4 and now nothing can stop me from watching that first episode right now.

CU all soon - I promise to update more often now!
LOVE and HUGS

sometimes life just sucks...

ok it took me way to long to write this and being stuck at home with chickenpox is certainly no excuse:-)

YES I managed it to get chickenpox at the age of 20, which is stupid and all wrong and did I mention stupid? shouldn´t these evil little illnesses be covered during childhood?

being ordered to bed for one week and looking like a monster for at least ten days wouldn´t be the end of world, but missing my trip to London this weekend and not seeing everyone of you at SG-10 feels like some cruel punishment. I was so looking forward to the convention and to have some fun at the parties again.
funniest/worst thing is I talked two of my best friends into coming to London and to the convention with me and they only agreed because they knew ho much it meant to me. do I have to mention that "happy camper" certainly doesn´t describe their mood now:-)

ok for everyone who will be there for SG-10 - please make lots and lots of funny pictures and report back all the stories, gossip and special moments to me.

@emily: I´m so sorry I can´t be there! I hope everything will be fine with the room sharing. *bighugs*

good good I have to hurry otherwise I´ll miss my doctors appointment.
wish you all a fantastic weekend, lots of fun and a save journey!

* big big hugs*
MISS YOU ALL!

Someone - please help me!!!

I know I shouldn´t be doing this...I´m sitting in one of my lectures right now.
It´s called FM-CAD - an absolutely useless and amazingly boring facility management software.
the prof is telling us things that fit perfectly into the category of "things you never wanted to know and never asked for".
with my undergraduate exam only four weeks away I could really need the time I´m wasting here right now.

well I guess after my own personal success yesterday (I managed to survive my economics exam and passed it with a 1.9)
I should be happy and just accept that I´ll be stuck in this room until 7.30 p.m.

any good stories to cheer me up?

3 hours and 10 minutes to go

March of the penguins

Did anyone already watch "march of the penguins"?
Someone emailed me the trailer a couple of days ago and I totally love it. But usually they put all the good scenes in the trailer and the scenes left are not worth going to the cinema.

Any ideas?

http://wip.warnerbros.com/marchofthepenguins/

two more days....

Well another week is gone...I really would prefer turning back the time and being in London again.
I had so much fun last weekend!:-)

Now only two more days until my economics exam (monday 8 a.m.) and I feel like I can´t remember
a single thing I ever read about John Maynard Keynes and his "General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money". This is so....*grrrr*...

Other then me complaining about Keynes nothing important happend today: university, lectures and one of my best friends coming over for a movie night.
that´s pretty much it - hey I always told you my life is boring :-)

for everyone who was there for 'galactica one' last weekend: how did you like the event?

did I mention that I miss all of you so much?
*big hugs*
